Umbilical
Bomech has several types of trailing shoe distributors, which are also suitable for umbilical systems. For this purpose, Bomech has developed a new coupling frame with which the trailing shoe distributor can be transferred from the tanker to the coupling frame. This way you can get the most out of the trailing shoe distributors, even in wet seasons, e.g. early spring.
Bomech UP
The Bomech UP has its own lightweight coupling frame and its own tow bar with swivel joint, which is easy to attach thanks to the quick-change system. This makes the Bomech UP with working widths from 6 m to 10.5 m also suitable for umbilical systems.
Speedy, Farmer and Multi Profi
The newly developed universal coupling frame for umbilical systems is a frame with which various Bomech trailing shoe distributors can be mounted on the tractor. The Speedy, Farmer and Multi Profi series, in working widths from 12 m to 24 m, can all be mounted on this frame. Two different swivel tubes can be fitted to this frame: the standard tow bar with cardan joints and the 170 degree swivel tube (see pictures). For every operation and every situation, the right combination of coupling frame and trailing shoe distributor can be selected.
All coupling frames have the same principle. The pulling point for the feeding hose is placed low on the coupling frame and close to the tractor, so the tractor remains manoeuvrable at all times. The towing tubes with swivelling hose nozzles make it easy to turn the feeding hose at the headland. An optional swivel joint (3″, 4″ or 5″) prevents the feeding hose from twisting.
Compact Super Profi
The Compact Super Profi for umbilical systems is equipped as standard with a robustly constructed swivel tube, which has a very large turning range of more than 170 degrees. This allows the swivel tube with trailing shoe to lie close to the tractor, so that reversing is posible without any problems. Due to the very favourable positioning of the swivel tube pivot point between the lower coupling of the tractor and swivel tube placed low to the ground, the drag hose has a lot of free hose length when turning. This means that the forces caused by the drag hose when turning have no effect on the tractor, machine and grassland. Together with the new automatic function for autonomous “holding” and “releasing” of the swivel tube from the centre position, cornering is made easy.
Features of the umbilical options:
- Several types of Bomech trailing shoe distributors are suitable for umbilical systems
- Lightweight for minimum ground pressure
- Automatic level adjustment on the middle frame and on both side arms
- All hydraulic cylinders have end cushioning for maximum performance and gentle folding
- One or two Alrena (from 12 m) precision macerator(s) with rotating cutting system
- Removable universal coupling frame for the Speedy, Farmer and Multi Profi series
- The point of pulling the feeding hose does not affect the trailing shoe system
- Mechanical or hydraulic automatic section control is optional
- Hoses will not kink during folding and are thus long-lasting
- The trailing shoes can be raised, preventing soiling of headlands, streets and agricultural roads
- Prepared for 3-/4-point linkage, category 2 or 3
